Page Inspector: There are only two tabs in the Page Inspector that will be used. The first is the "Layers" tab. The Layers tab shows you all of the layers you have. By clicking the eye symbol, you can choose to make the layer visible, hidden, or locked so it can't be moved or altered. If you would like to add a layer, simply click the add button. The higher the layer is on the list, the farther back it is. To move the layer up or down, click the red arrows.
The second tab is the "Errors" tab. This lets you know if there is anything wrong with your page. Make sure to check for errors because you can't publish a page if anything is in red. |
Object Inspector: The "Position" tab should be self explanitory. The Fill tab will be used to fill shapes or text boxes with color. To give a shape or text box a solid color background, click on the "Solid" setting and click on the "Fill Color" to select a color. At the bottom you will notice you can adjust the transparency.
The "Stroke" tab is for giving photos, text boxes, or shapes a border or frame. To use this, select the "Type" or border. Some borders will be disabled if the object or shape contains lines that are not straigth. You can also adjust the thickness of the border on the size section or the color.

How to edit an image on Studio Works: Any tool you need for basic photo editing is found in the image inspector. To remove a white solid backdrop, click the "Mask White" setting. To strengthen or weaken colors, adjust the contrast. To edit a photo, select the "More" option on the bottom right of the image inspector. Once you've clicked that, click "Grab Image". This will take you to a basic editor. Here you can erase portions of photos. To adjust the zoom, select the "scale". If you use the eraser, whatever you erase will appear red on the editor but once you finish and save, whatever is red will become transparent on the page. You can either erase manually, or if you have a large portion of a solid color you would like to remove, click on the wand tool (on the bottom left of the toolbar) and click the area you wish to remove then click the paint bucket icon directly next to the wand.
15) Saving and exiting: When you are finished working on a spread, be sure to save. Then exit the spread by clicking the blue X next to it. This will unlock the page allowing others to have access to it. Do not log out without unlocking all pages.
